In a 2020 internal "Case Study" reviewing "FB Dating," a dating service within Facebook, Meta employee ████ reported that there were multiple "confirmed minors" using FB Dating, including two who "admitted in conversation to being under 12" and one "in the third grade." The study expressed concern that "individuals who were paired with minors" on FB Dating reacted negatively to learning that they were interacting with children—which, according to the document, posed a risk of "serious reputation damage to Facebook."
