Who publishes this archive

Reset Tech publishes this archive of documents, testimony and court records about Meta.

The archive brings together source material for readers to examine. Inclusion is not an endorsement of every claim in a document or filing.

Sources and excerpts

Sources include internal documents made public through litigation, testimony, plaintiffs' filings, court rulings and press reports.

An excerpt is a selected passage from a longer source. It is not the whole document. Read the source when available for surrounding context. A filing may quote an internal document while also making arguments about it.

Each record identifies its source type when recorded. “Source type not recorded” means the available metadata does not establish a type. Dates show only the precision recorded: a day, month or year. Records without a known date are marked “Undated”.

What the source labels mean

Internal document
A document created within Meta, such as an email or internal research.
Testimony
A statement given in a hearing or deposition.
Plaintiffs' filing
A submission by the people or organisations bringing a lawsuit. It presents their claims or arguments, not a court's findings.
Meta's filing
A submission by Meta in a lawsuit, such as its written answers to the other side's questions. It gives Meta's account, not a court's findings.
Court ruling
An order or decision issued by a court.
Press report
Reporting published by a news source, rather than an internal document or court record.

Why some PDFs are unavailable

Source PDF not yet released. Text is transcribed from the public filing.

A published text record does not always have a released source file. PDF access is checked separately. A missing PDF does not mean the archive has no text record.

Content notes and support

Some sources discuss suicide, self-harm, eating disorders or child sexual abuse material. Content notes identify these topics where they are recorded in the source metadata; they are not a complete assessment of every passage.

Find crisis support in the US and internationally.

Report an error

If you find an error, contact Reset Tech through its website. Include the record's page link and explain what needs correcting. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Your account and saved work

Public reading and Search do not need an account. Signed-out excerpt pins stay in your browser. After signing in, you can choose to import them into a named collection.

We store your account email and saved collections, notes, searches and Ask sessions. Ask saves questions and answers by default. Choose “Don’t save this question” before asking to keep it out of saved history. Saved source links show only records still available in the published archive.

You can delete individual saved lists and sessions from Account. Deleting your account removes your account and all saved work.
