Sign in to askUse the archive in your own AI agent
MCP connects your AI agent to the archive. You need a free account. Your agent opens a browser to sign in the first time at signin.metadocs.exposed.
Server URL (Streamable HTTP): https://mcp.metadocs.exposed/mcp
The tools search published evidence, read a published record and list labels. Only published material is available.
Claude Code
Add the server from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http metadocs https://mcp.metadocs.exposed/mcpThen start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose metadocs and select Authenticate. Your browser opens to sign in.
Claude Desktop and claude.ai
- Go to Customize → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name it
metadocsand paste the server URL above. Leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty. - Click Connect and sign in when your browser opens.
The Free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors, then each member connects with their own account.
ChatGPT
- Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Back on Apps & Connectors, click Create. Name it
metadocs, paste the server URL above and choose OAuth for authentication. - Click Create and sign in when asked.
- In a new chat, click +, then More, and choose metadocs.
Developer mode works on ChatGPT on the web with a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan. On a workspace plan, an admin must allow it first. OpenAI sometimes moves these menus.
OpenAI Codex
The Codex command line and the IDE extension share one setup. Add the server, then sign in:
codex mcp add metadocs --url https://mcp.metadocs.exposed/mcp
codex mcp login metadocsOr add this to ~/.codex/config.toml and run codex mcp login metadocs:
[mcp_servers.metadocs]
url = "https://mcp.metadocs.exposed/mcp"Any other MCP client
Most clients read a JSON file like this. Add a remote server with the URL above, using Streamable HTTP, and allow the browser sign-in when prompted. Your client must support OAuth sign-in.
{
"mcpServers": {
"metadocs": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.metadocs.exposed/mcp"
}
}
}Field names vary between clients. Some use servers instead of mcpServers, or streamable-http instead of http. Check your client's documentation.
