Content ID

A unique identifier for one piece of content - a post, video or image - and the unit in which internal ranking discussions count what a person consumes. In a January 2024 employee thread on ranking goals: "imagine going out in public and telling people we rank their kid's facebook by what makes them consume the most content IDs lol" - which, a colleague adds, involves "sorting their feed by controversial, eye-popping filth".
