SEV

Sitewide Emergency Event

Meta's internal incident-management designation for urgent, tracked issues (including child-safety failures), each assigned a severity Level and tracked via a "Set SEV Level" workflow through to mitigation. Used constantly across the archive as internal shorthand for declaring/escalating an emergency (e.g. a "Historical SEVs" tracking table, "SEV Management" as a formal subworkstream).
