Karina Newton noted "we have continued to get the advice [from experts] that we should have Daisy on by default for teens." Instead, Meta effectively abandoned Project Daisy, calling it "extremely low on the long list of problems we need to solve." Internally, Meta employees noted that Daisy "got stuck in a political war" between "Fidji [Simo, then-Head of Facebook] + Adam [Mosseri] + Mark [Zuckerberg]."
